Born in Kirkcaldy, Nigel graduated from Aberdeen University in 1981 and then completed a Post Graduate Legal Practice Diploma there before commencing full legal practice in 1982. His Traineeship was with the former firm of Clark Oliver (now Thorntons) in Arbroath. After working for many years in private practice and gaining experience at assistant and partner level in both court and non court related matters with other firms, Nigel founded this firm in 1991. He is now a highly experienced legal practioner with a particularly vast expertise and is an expert in property law and conveyancing. He also has many years of experience in dealing with matters relating to wills, executries and family law and provides clients with sympathetic and professional advice in all of these areas. Nigel's interests include both watching and playing football, rugby (only watching nowadays) and many other sports. He is a lifelong follower and supporter of Raith Rovers and former Director of the Club as well as a keen supporter of Kirkcaldy Rugby and a supporter and season ticket holder of Edinburgh Rugby. Nigel has been married to Fiona since 1985. They have 3 children the youngest of whom, Julie, still attends the local secondary school in Kirkcaldy. His eldest two are Scott and Lauren, aged 21 and 20, both of whom are now law students at The University of Dundee. |

Fiona is orginally from Lanarkshire & graduated in Law from Aberdeen University in 1981 aged 20, going on to do a post graduate at Dundee University & commencing legal practice in 1982. Since then she has gained a wealth of experience in both private practice & local government, before helping found this firm in November 1991. Fiona has accumulated enormous experience in property law, conveyancing & Estate agency and is available to guide & advise you in all of these specialised areas. Fiona has an excellent knowledge of the local property market and heads the firm's Estate Agency department which combines our dedicated personalised service with the latest innovative IT and this fully interactive website. Fiona has approximately 25 years experience of selling property and having lived in and raised her family in Kirkcaldy for over 2 decades she offers professionalism and a depth of experience that is unrivaled. Fiona met Nigel in 1978 and married him in 1985. Her interests include holistic nutrition, following Edinburgh Rugby, walking her dogs and relaxing during well earned vacations with her husband and 3 grown up children. Fiona is Past President of Fife Women in Business, a former Director of Fife Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is currently on the Board of Edinburgh Rugby Supporters' Trust. |

Audrey has worked in legal practice since 1987 and has been with Fords since day one in November 1991. She is a dedicated and loyal member of staff and is highly experienced in all conveyancing and property related matters. Audrey qualified as a Conveyancing Paralegal in February 2002 from Strathclyde University. Audrey works primarily as assistant to Nigel and is available to advise clients on all legal matters relating to conveyancing and property law. She is a Fellow of the Society of Specialist Paralegals. Her interests include gardening, reading, Pilates and running although not all at the same time! |

Lynne comes from Levenmouth and has worked in legal practice since 1993. She gained experience in all aspects of administration, conveyancing and estate agency and joined Fords in 1997. She is a loyal and dedicated member of staff and has now accumulated a vast wealth of legal knowledge, with special emphasis in the area of property, conveyancing and estate agency. She works alongside Fiona. Lynne enjoys cycling, walking, gardening and socialising. |

Originally from Glasgow, Ann moved through to the east and joined the team at Fords in April 2006. Ann worked in the insurance industry when she left school and then moved into the legal profession in 1990 where she accumulated a vast experience in both criminal and civil court matters as well as all aspects of property law including conveyancing, wills and executries. Ann enjoys socialising and she is an accomplished Scottish trampoline coach. She also enjoys watching rugby and football. Ann recently had a beautiful baby girl, Keira, and is currently on maternity leave. We hope that she will rejoin us early in 2008. |
